To be sure that your fuel is of highest quality when you need it most, trust Foster Fuels Testing and Analysis service. Foster Fuels recommends quarterly fuel testing for facilities that store fuel onsite – especially if the fuel is not routinely used such as in generator applications.
Equipment runs best on clean fuel that meets or exceeds required specifications. Most fuel that comes from a pipeline or port supplied terminal is certified to meet certain specifications when it leaves the terminal. However, meeting specifications does not mean that it does not contain levels of contaminants. After fuel leaves the terminal, fuel is transferred into trucks, private bulk plans, back into trucks, and then finally to your tank. Each of these transfers creates the opportunity for potential exposure to additional contamination.
As fuel sits in storage tanks or generator tanks, its quality can diminish over time.Just like many products, Fuel has a shelf-life. Condensation, mold, sediment, and other things can accumulate inside storage tanks. Foster’s Fuel Testing and Analysis service will identify any problems with the fuel, and then we can treat fuel with an additive or stabilizer to ensure long-term fuel quality.
